We will explore the basic principles and possibilities of classic animation technique that was used to produce such masterpieces as Buurman en Buurman or Shaun the Sheep. We will be working mainly in 2-dimensional world, so we will draw all our characters and the world they live in on paper and then we will make them alive.
My animation workshops are suitable for children 8 years and older. I can also do a workshop for younger children who will be assisted by their parents or teachers.
We can plan the duration of the workshop according to your desires and possibilities.
There is a couple of options how to make it more exciting and challenging. Besides making simple silent animation, we can create more sophisticated short animated film with sound that we record on our own.
On top of all this, the most advanced package includes introduction into audio/video editing softwares which let young creators experience true multimedia learning experience.
I use Audacity for sound recording and editing and DaVinci Resolve for film editing. Both are free to use and children can work with them further on their own computers at home.
The price depends on the complexity of the workshop setup. The price starts at 120 eur for 2 hour workshop which results in a short silent animation. All the necessary tools and accessories are included. The price does not include traveling costs (my location is Delfzijl).
I need only tables, chairs and electricity.
I can do the workshop in Dutch or English.
